Thanks eiguoc. I wonder  a lot about the bears. I was gonna ask if and when they hibernate, but got energetic and looked it up. Im in TN, so I'm thinking the weather there will be a lot like here. The bears have been spotted here occasionally. We don't know how many of them there are.

My husband says im adicted to the cameras, so im hanging out her a lot. My work interferes with animal watching. See you around the cams, shellybean

Hi, I'm Cheryl, a young 65. I still work, fortunately from home so I can visit USW daily. My job is mind numbingly boring, USW keeps my brain from turning to mush. I live in Denver, CO, grew up in Pueblo, CO. I  love the mountains, spend as much time as possible there. My parents had a cabin in a lovely place called St Elmo, an old mining town. After dad died mom sold the cabin. It is still my favorite place in Colorado.

I am married, was a single parent for 17 years before meeting my husband 19 years ago. My son lives in Pueblo. My daughter and her husband live in Denver with two girls still in school. I have seven grandkids (4 boys, 3 girls), three great grandkids (2 boys, 1 girl). My one “child” at home is Jake a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who hates the water, would rather check out prairie dogs than chase a duck. I rescued him from the pound, and he now lives a very spoiled existence.

I love wildlife, especially wolves. My favorite vacation spot is the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone, where I have seen wolves many times. We also spend a great deal of time in Rocky Mountain National Park, which is only an hour from our home. We go to the Canyonlands in Utah a great deal for camping, hiking and some awesome 4-wheeling. Once a year the family spends a weekend in Estes Park, CO during elk bugling. After an evening watching the elk in RMNP until it is too dark to see, we go back to the condo for chile and games. My husband is originally from Virginia. One of my favorite places in VA is the Peaks of Otter, close to my husband’s hometown. A beautiful place and wonderful for birding. I love the cardinals, wish we had them in CO. The first time I saw a deer in VA was on our honeymoon. I told my husband, “Look a baby deer.” He said no it was an adult. I'm used to mule deer in CO. I live in the city, but we are close to an open space. In my yard we have had fox, raccoon, rabbits, and squirrels. I became a birder when I set up feeders. As well as painting birds, I paint old buildings I have photographed. I make jewelry, knit, love getting together with friends for chat and a glass of wine, enjoy wineries, antique shops, art galleries, reading, travel, and coffee shops with books.  Cheryl

Hi, my name is Allison. I live in South Carolina with my husband and daughter. We have 4 cats, 2 dogs, 2 horses and 1 snake (ball python). I wasn’t really much of a cat person (so I thought), but a stray cat had kittens in our horse stall and so now I have 4 cats (Mama, Myste, Tuck, and Winnie). We have a rescued lab mix (Opie). Our black and white American Paint mare (Frankie – because of her blue eyes) is my baby, and my daughter has an American Warmblood (Zaylyn). And last is Earnhardt our ball python. Okay, so that’s my family : ) I happened upon this website when I was searching for the live cam from our local Zoo. To my amazement I found deer cams, eagle cams, African cams, etc. I was so excited to see deer cams – I absolutely love to watch the deer. I’ve always enjoyed watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunks in our back yard, but never dreamed I could sit at my computer and see these majestic animals.  Seems like you have a wonderful family here on USW and I look forward to being part of it and I’m already learning a lot about the deer and especially the eagles.  I haven’t seen coyotes yet, but I have seen raccoons and opossums.

Thank you Pat.  I saw your yote video and really enjoyed it.  I've checked out the deer id's also - trying to learn them but that'll take me a while.  I have been dying to see Missy White Legs and am so excited to have gotten my first look at her this morning at US - she is beautiful!!!  I am taking this as a good sign because I was feeling pretty saddened after reading Beverly's news on her husband - then moved to US and there she was!  It just made me feel better somehow.  Glad to read that Derek is better too.  I've only been on here a short while, but already feel like I know so many.  A wonderful family here!

Yes, I am definitely owned by a lot of furry kids.

welcome to all the new members!  Sorry I have been too busy to welcome you before now.  Derek, I love the new picture.  Cheryl, I do not know if you have read it or not, but I have a rescued Lab that does not think water should get near his body!  LOL  He will almost pop before he will go out in the rain.  BIG GRIN  And Bobc, I will have to look up where Cato is.  Did you find out how to get to the Eagles at Gentry yet?  If not post and I can get directions for you.  I thought I would be up there for Christmas but now we are not going to be going.  But I can get directions for you.  You would love the eagles there!  As to my husband, we are going to be okay.  They caught it early and we will fight this too.  For those of you who are new, I have just gotten over being sick for almost two years due to breast cancer and infections.  But I am fine now and we will get past this also.  Mainly due to the great friends and this wonderful website!

Okay, so here I go... My name is Lacy Smith, I'm 39 years old. I'm a country girl to the core. Was born and raised in Arkansas till I was 14. My mother moved us to N.C. ( I'm not saying N.C isn't beautiful nor has it perks.) I love my home state.

I am a very proud mother of two young adults, my son Michael 21, My daughter Karen 20. They both go to college and work. They love the lord and have amazing goals. My kids have their heads and hearts in a way better place then I did at that age.

I just recent found the lord and his love, forgiveness, and mercy again. My life is such as a novel to the extremes that it feels like I have live 12 lifes. But I'm greatful for the lord. He saved me when no one eles could. But that is what life is all about, knowing the lord , letting him guide your life, and trust in him. But it took major happenings in my life to truely turn me to him. To stop trying to fix things and people. But He has show me that is not my place, he has taught me to love people for whom they are, he has taught me to accept that I cannt live my life filled with bitterness and unforgiveness. So yeah My Lord has done alot of work with in me, I just had to turn lose of the reins.

Okay so I'm a proud wife of a wonderful man. We have been married 20 years. He adopted my kids and they are his totally 100%. It amazing me that the things I took for granted I see so clearly now. Anyway.

I will add more later. (if you want to know more lol)

    L

Twiggy7 So happy to have found this site. I searched sites with white deer and that is how I found Usee. When the cameras were down I started reading the dialogues. What a wonderful bunch of people and when I started asking questions, everyone was so welcoming. My name is Wendy. I have had pets all my life from guppies to horses! There is so much solace and enjoyment in having pets.....they are a part of your family. My one cat Tonya lived until she was 22 and my last cat Soccer lived until he was 17. At 58 yrs of age, I have a wonderful husband by which I inherited two great daughters and two grandchildren. I have one son who has also enlarged our clan with a terrific daughter in law and the love of my life....my four year old grand daughter. I live in the Finger Lakes of western NY state. I have 3 acres where I am lucky enough to see deer, raccoons, coyotes, fox, birds and 3 years ago .....a bear in my side yard!! We have a trail cam up in the pathway next to our little stream. Speaking of bears, the Adirondack mountains are my favorite place to be. I have been trekking up there since I was 5 years old. Last year my husband and I built a tiny cabin on a beaver pond that leads out to a small picturesque no motor lake. Pure heaven! It's a three hour drive for us so when my husband's work schedule allows, we spend several days at a time. I love reading, I dabble in knitting, I research classic cars, gardening, canoeing and hiking were my favorite activities before I had a change in my medical situation. I look forward to many years of enjoyment watching and learning from this site.

Hello All!  My name is Matthew Welch and I'm a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and reside in Cabot, Arkansas.  My wife is still in the Air Force and I'm now a stay at home dad with my kiddos!  =)  I love my family and especially love getting out in the outdoors with them for a hike, camp or fishing excursion.  I'm all about the beautiful Ouachita and Ozark National Forests and I promote leaving no trace.. taking good care of what the Man upstairs has given us.  I'm hoping to soon be providing a live chat room here for our community.  This will be a great way for all of us to connect and discuss the adventures of the outdoors and wildlife!  Here's a couple pics of Me and the Fam!
