The story behind USeeWildlife.com:

The owner of the property, on which USeeWildlife.com was developed, was blessed with the opportunity to purchase the land several years ago. When he first met with the former owners, they told him of all the animals they so thoroughly enjoyed watching during their tenure there. Of course the couple spoke of all the whitetail deer and wild turkeys they had always seen, but they also mentioned spotting the occasional black bear and even a mountain lion or two. The husband said selling the property was not something he had wanted, but he felt he and his wife were neglecting the place due to their deteriorating health.

The soon-to-be owner was so impressed that he was bound and determined to buy the land. After all, he had loved watching and helping wild animals his entire life. He even had several rescued whitetail deer at his current residence. Immediately after the purchase he began studying all the animals on the preserve, from hummingbirds and song birds close by to whitetails and black bears at far reaching locations. The wildlife population thrived as he made more improvements to their habitat as well.

After a few years, though, he felt this wildlife sanctuary was still missing something. There were plenty of winding streams and flowing creeks running throughout the property, but he soon decided he needed a large pond where he could hopefully watch migratory ducks and listen to bullfrogs sing. And so he began, building a levy that grew taller and taller until when he finally finished, he had an enormous lake. But because of the size and the rocky ground, he wondered if the lake would fill up or even hold water.

The next spring water poured over the spillway; the lake was full. The man was so excited he couldn't wait for autumn, and when that September rolled around, migratory ducks ranging from blue wing teal to mallards to pintails began to fog in from all directions to the lake. He was out at sunrise almost every day anxiously watching for any signs of new wildlife in the coves. Soon he had magnificent trumpeter swans and bald eagles soaring over the still water each morning in the winter.

A short time later, the man had yet another idea. He would move his rescued whitetail deer to a large enclosure on the preserve as well. His goal was to bring the animals to an environment closer to their natural habitat, as they certainly could not be released back into the wild. After all, he had learned so much about their behavior by helping and studying these deer in years past that he felt as if they deserved this from him.

His friends and relatives who came to visit were absolutely overwhelmed with the abundance of wildlife on the property. Everyone refused to believe the stories until they saw it for themselves. They kept asking to come back and watch the animals, and the man knowing how much he loved to see them as well, could never say no. In fact, he began to enjoy watching the expressions on the visitors' faces just as much as he loved watching the animals themselves. He realized, however, that he could not simply accommodate all those who wanted to come and view the wildlife. He knew the increase in human traffic would ultimately have a negative effect on the animals and their habitat, and so, he devised a solution, by creating USeeWildlife.com, your window to nature.

USeeWildlife.com allows you to see and hear nature at its best with almost no interference. You can now see things that have never really been observed before.
